Counselling and Psychotherapy
It’s very natural to feel overwhelmed sometimes, whether there are changes happening around you or even within you. Opening up to family and friends can be complicated. Sharing your inner thoughts with them may make you feel vulnerable or you may worry that you could hurt or frighten them.
You may also have to deal with their reaction, when you need to keep your energies for yourself or it may put a strain on your relationship moving forward.
Counselling and Psychotherapy may be the answer. It is private. It is your time to explore your thoughts and feelings.
Getting to know you.
It’s important to know what to expect. After our initial contact, we’ll agree a convenient time where you’ll be able to let me know the challenges you’re facing during a phone call.
Lasting about 20 minutes, this will be a time that you can speak freely, without interruption.
We’ll talk about what you expect to get from counselling and how we may work together. Finding the right therapist is an important element of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I will be honest during the assessment of what I can offer you.
If we mutually agree to proceed, we can make our first appointment time. This 20-minute phone call is free of charge.
Counselling sessions last 50 minutes and, by sharing your thought and fears, we will help identify and express your feelings.
I do not judge or offer advice, but will be alongside you. The aim of the therapy is to empower you to bring about the changes that you need and it is important that you are at the centre of that process.
